The Nursing Services at the Collinsville Multi-Purpose Health Service is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse (Community Liaison) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse Community Liaison provides nursing services within the health service settings including hospital, the home and other community settings. The position is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on community health services, community support and liaison with government and non-government organisations on behalf of community members. Discharge planning is also a significant part of the role.
About the Team
Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service is in the Whitsunday Regional Shire in the town of Collinsville, approximately 86km southwest from Bowen, a journey which takes approximately 1 hour from Bowen. Collinsville has approximately 2500 residents.
The Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service consists of eight acute care beds, seven aged care beds, 24 hr emergency care, outpatient care, visiting Allied Health Services- including pharmacy, radiology occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, mental health and AODS, child health, social work, Nurse Navigator and Diversional Therapist.
A private GP practice is co-located within the hospital and the Medical Superintendent has right to private practice. The QAS is also co-located on within the hospital.
Collinsville MPHS staff its shifts on a minimum safe staffing level. The model of care is a patient centred model of care. There is a Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse on all shifts; an Assistant in Nursing works on the morning and afternoon shifts. Staff has the assistance of a NUM and/or DON if required.
