About the role
Work in partnership with woman to provide contemporary evidence-based women and baby focused care, in collaboration with the interprofessional healthcare team to facilitate optimal health outcomes and undertake delegated activities while assuming individual accountability for actions within the position and context of practice.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Apply clinical midwifery expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of woman and baby centred care.
- Develop in partnership with women individualised care plans for antenatal, postnatal and intrapartum care and may extend to women's health, sexual or reproductive health, preparation for parenthood and childcare.
- Maintain woman and baby safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting.
