About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide advanced level Social Work clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary team within the Caboolture Adult and Paediatric Emergency Departments, and Adult and Paediatric Inpatient services. The role will provide a service to patients/families/carers requiring social work services particularly those with acute psychosocial trauma or multidimensional psychosocial problems to optimise their psychosocial outcomes and to achieve maximum benefits from health care services and to support patients and families.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver advanced level evidence based clinical services, including counselling, in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics and AASW Professional Practice Standards by assessing complex psychosocial needs of clients impacted by traumatic events such as domestic and family violence and sexual assault; identifying clinical risk and providing multiple clinical interventions to maximise psychosocial outcomes for clients.
- Work collaboratively with and provide high-level clinical advice and direction to social work practitioners and a range of health professionals, supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding social work and interprofessional management of NDIS participants and service delivery including prioritisation and changes in clinical practice, equipment and technological advances.
- Lead an acute Social Work team within Emergency Department, and Adult and Paediatric Inpatient services by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality delivery of healthcare and service evaluation including staff supervision, service delivery, education and quality improvements.
