In your new role you will work collaboratively within the nursing team to deliver compassionate and quality care to inpatients in the Acute and Aged Care Wards.About this role
About us:
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service provide an extensive range of health services at more thatn 30 regional, rural and remote facilities across a geographical area of 142,900 square kilometres. The Health Service is 95 percent self-sufficient with only a small number of high- level acute services being provided in Townsville and Brisbane.
Mossman Hospital offers comprehensive healthcare services, including outpatient maternity and inpatient medical care. The facility also features a 24-hour emergency department (ED), 13 bed inpatient ward, medical imaging departments, dialysis unit, 8 bed residential aged care, and a range of community and outpatient services, ensuring accessible and high-quality care for the community. The facility is staffed with Nursing and Medical professionals 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
About your role:
- Provide direct patient cares, including all aspects of activities of daily living
- Provide emotional and social support for patients
- Dementia and delerium care and supportive behaviour strategies
