Join the team at Atherton Hospital as a Clinical Midwife (Midwifery Group Practice). The Atherton Maternity Unit cares for around 300 women per year from the surrounding communities of Atherton and Southern Tablelands, with around 200 of these women birthing at Atherton Hospital.About this role

About you:
In your new role you will:
- Provide effective and efficient clinical care in the Maternity Service and work in collaboration with the Nurse/Midwifery Unit Manager to ensure the maintenance of safe standards in patient care.
- Promote cooperation, teamwork and understanding in undertaking generalist and/or specialist nursing/midwifery practices for effective health outcomes.
- Practice collaboratively and provide clinical leadership within the multidisciplinary health care team to promote safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups.
- Provide clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research.
- Maintain sound knowledge of relevant legislation, guideline and standards specifically relating midwifery practice and ensure safe, appropriate application of same.
