Occupational Therapist - Senior, Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth Services, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service
You are invited to join a dynamic team with Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth Services as Occupational Therapist – Senior. In this role you will deliver high level, contemporary, evidence informed Occupational Therapy assessment, short term transitional supports and referrals to long term supports e.g. the National Disability Insurance Scheme, for children with developmental delay/disability and their families utilising a child and family centred framework.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will…..
- Utilise high level Occupational Therapy paediatric knowledge, expertise, clinical decision making and risk management skills to provide safe and efficient service delivery on a daily basis within a multidisciplinary / transdisciplinary team, with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
- Lead Occupational Therapy and other clinical projects and research activities within the Child Development Service and contribute to other programmes as requested.
- Act as a resource person in the field of paediatric Occupational Therapy, providing high level clinical advice and support to Occupational Therapy and other colleagues as required.
