Located just 45 minutes from Cairns, Yarrabah provides the rewarding challenge of rural practice, diverse presentations, close‑knit teamwork, and meaningful community relationships set against the backdrop of Far North Queensland's spectacular coastline.
Yarrabah Emergency Service provides 24‑hour emergency care, primary health services, and continuity of care in partnership with Gurriny Yealamucka Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, offering services ranging from clinics and allied health to community health and renal dialysis.
About your new role:
In your new role you will……
- You'll practice across emergency, acute, outpatient, and community health settings, utilising remote specialist support when needed and functioning confidently in a rural environment with limited resources.
- Provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team
- Support education, preceptorship, and onsite teaching for registrars and students
- Work closely with Queensland Ambulance Service, Gurriny Yealamucka, and CHHHS clinical governance networks
As a Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service employee, not only will you receive competitive base salary up to $274,678 per annum full time (L18 – L27) or up to $216,643 per annum full time (L13 – L18), you will also have access to:
- Generous superannuation (up to 12.75%)
- Attraction & retention allowance (up to 45% of base salary)
- Inaccessibility incentive allowance ($41,400 per annum full time 50% paid after 6 months service, the 3 monthly instalments thereafter)

- Professional development leave (3.6 weeks p.a.)
