About us:
Our nursing workforce practices within a strong clinical governance framework, aligned with Queensland Health policies, National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) standards for practice.
Enrolled Nurses (NRG03) may work across a broad range of clinical environments within CHHHS, including but not limited to, Acute inpatient wards, Medical and surgical units, Sub-acute and rehabilitation services, Emergency and procedural areas (within scope), Specialty services, Rural and remote facilities, Community and outreach services, and Relief or staffing pools.
Depending on the service area, you may be required to work across multiple clinical areas within your scope of practice.
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) deliver public healthcare services across Far North Queensland, including tertiary, regional, rural and remote facilities. We provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, emergency and community services to a diverse population, including a significant proportion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Join the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service team of over 6000 staff to deliver health services in Far North Queensland. We offer a range of medical, nursing and midwifery, administrative and support roles at Cairns and more than 30 regional, rural and remote facilities.
About your role:
- Responsible for planning and delivery of service to an allocated patient load.
- Complete routine patient cares including assistance with activities of daily living.
- Patient education.
- Discharge planning.
- Escalating deteriorating patients.
