An exciting opportunity exists to join the Business Practice Improvement – Outpatients Unit as a Clinical Administration Training Officer. This role provides high‑level support to outpatient administration staff and delivers targeted administration training in line with Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) business rules and the Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standard (SOSIS).About this role
About us:
The Business Practice Improvement – Outpatients unit provides services across the CHHHS, including:
- Smart Referrals Systems support and training
- Administrative Outpatient waitlist auditing
- Business Practice Improvement initiatives in Outpatients
- Data Integrity
- CHHHS Administrative Procedure Manual maintenance
- Training and support for administration across the CHHHS

About your role:
- Assist in the ongoing development and delivery of administration training incorporating relevant legislation, policies, procedures and Queensland Health core values.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders within the HHS to coordinate updates to the CHHHS Administration Procedure Manual.
- Actively participate in improvement initiates providing project support and coordination when required. Supporting the Business Practice Improvement – Outpatient Unit. Working autonomously when required, using sound judgement to resolve immediate problems.
- Develop and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with staff, internal and external stakeholders at all levels to implement enhancement.
