Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drug Service is an innovative, dynamic and flexible service which strives to advance healthcare and outcomes for people experiencing mental ill health, problematic alcohol and other drug use, and mental health crisis including suicidality through person centred, culturally safe treatment care and support. The service is comprised of clinical teams in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, community and residential settings, with a range of tertiary level health services to provide emergency, short, medium and extended clinical assessment, treatment and care.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will…..
- Deliver high quality tele-triage, risk/mental health assessments, treatments, investigations and short-term interventions for consumers presenting with acute episodes of mental illness.
- Assist members of the public to navigate appropriate care pathways to meet their needs.
- Apply independent clinical judgement and decision making to complex clinical presentations.
- Apply knowledge of mental health legislation and policy (including the Mental Health Act (2016) and National Mental Health Standards) to facilitate the delivery of coordinated and integrated mental health services across the CHHHS.
- Comply with timely and accurate input and collection of consumer related demographic information, diagnosis, outcomes collections and provision of service activity into relevant electronic databases.
