About the role
Deliver the Early Career Dental Practitioner Program (ECDPP) in collaboration with the Senior Dentist (Mentor), including coordinating clinical rotations across Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), supporting the development of entry-level Oral Health Therapists (OHTs), and monitoring, reporting, and evaluating clinical practices, outcomes, and overall program effectiveness. Provide high-level clinical services to the eligible population while leading and mentoring in evidence-based dental and OHT practices, participating in relevant research projects, and promoting a safety-supportive culture across all activities
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver high level oral health clinical services within community or hospital setting in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- Exercise independent judgement and problem-solving skills, in matters beyond routine practice with infrequent professional or clinical practice supervision.
- Planning, developing, facilitating, implementing and evaluating evidence-based education to support practice, build leadership capability and optimise the role and scope of practice of new graduate oral health therapists.
- Coordinate clinical education programs for new graduate dental practitioners including ongoing monitoring and identification of ECDPP clinical education needs.
