Provide senior clinical and managerial leadership to dental assistants, with responsibility for mandatory training, infection control, sterilisation standards and practices across the Oral Health Centre.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above.
- The position works closely with the Clinical Executive Team and Operations Management Team, to provide relevant advice and assistance with strategies for performance improvement, implementation of policy initiatives, education and training, service delivery and development for strategic matters concerning dental assisting services.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director to contribute to strategic level management processes within the Oral Health Centre and to provide managerial leadership for the team of Senior Dental Assistants.
- Participate in the strategic implementation and monitoring of local, state and national policies and strategies relevant to dental assisting within the Oral Health Centre.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Executive Team in overseeing the implementation and monitoring of dental assisting practices within the assigned Oral Health Service area in line with client focussed care, best practice and total quality service.
