Senior Advisor

Come join Human Resources Branch as a Senior Advisor where you will provide expert case management and practical advice and support to delegates and HR Practitioners in Hospital and Health Services across the state and the Department, on complex employment matters; and play a lead role in building the capability of HR practitioners across Queensland Health in line with organisational goals.
About this role
As a Senior Advisor, you will provide expert, customer focused human resources advice and case management on a range of complex employment matters including conduct and performance, employee grievances, dismissal, workplace investigations, discipline, suspension, appeals and medical assessment of employees. You will proactively monitor and manage assigned case management within agreed timeframes and standards, providing updates on complex cases and other projects. Additionally, you will develop and maintain positive, effective, and respectful working relationships with stakeholders through the provision of expert case management and high quality, accurate, and timely advice and support in relation to complex employment matters.
Role fit
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Demonstrated expertise in the advice and management of complex employment matters including, but not limited to, conduct and performance, employee grievances, dismissal, workplace investigations, discipline, suspension, appeals and medical assessment of employees, within a large, complex public sector organisation.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills necessary to provide expert HR advice to stakeholders and produce high quality correspondence, submissions, reports and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to build HR Practitioner capability by coaching, advising and presenting to colleagues in Hospital and Health Services and the Department on case management principles relating to complex employment matters.
