Administration Officer
Support the operations of a major hospital pathology laboratory by providing high-level administrative support to leadership teams. In this role, you’ll coordinate key business functions and enable efficient service delivery across a fast-paced clinical environment.
About this role
The purpose of this role is to provide high-level, confidential and professional administrative support to the Core Laboratory Manager and supervisory team, ensuring effective coordination of operational and administration duties to support the delivery of pathology services.
What you'll do
In this role you will supervise and coordinate clinical assistant teams, manage pre-analytical laboratory processes, deliver training and support staff development, oversee quality, stock and compliance activities, maintain operational capability by performing laboratory duties, support stakeholder engagement, and ensure efficient and accurate service delivery across a shift-based environment.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Has experience in administrative or business support roles
- Has strong organisational and time management skills
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
- Can work autonomously and as part of a team
- Has experience with Microsoft Office and business systems
- Has attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
