Senior Transport Despatch Officer
Join Biomedical Technology Services and play an important role in supporting the delivery of healthcare technology across Queensland. This hands-on logistics opportunity combines warehouse operations, dispatch coordination, equipment tracking and transport support to ensure critical medical equipment and supplies reach healthcare facilities when they are needed most.
About this role
The purpose of this role is to provide logistics, dispatch and operational support services for Biomedical Technology Services, ensuring the safe receipt, storage, tracking, transport and delivery of medical equipment, parts and supplies that support healthcare services across Queensland.
What you'll do
In this role you will receive, pack, unpack and dispatch medical equipment and supplies, coordinate courier and transport arrangements, maintain equipment tracking records and logistics systems, assist with stock control and inventory activities, collect urgent parts and supplies across Brisbane, support equipment movements and installations, undertake general warehouse and administration duties, assist with resource and consumable management, provide guidance to junior team members, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics function.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Has experience in logistics, warehousing, dispatch or storeperson environments
- Can safely handle, move and transport equipment and goods
- Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Can accurately maintain records and enter data into computer systems
- Has strong communication and customer service skills
- Can work independently while contributing positively to a small team environment
