As an Assistant Accountant, you'll play a vital role in strengthening financial confidence across the health service. From maintaining accurate asset and financial records to supporting compliance and reporting, your work helps ensure resources are managed effectively to support patient care and community services.

- Delivering accurate financial and asset reporting that supports confident decision-making

- Strengthening controls and processes to improve data integrity and compliance
- Supporting financial reporting cycles and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and outcomes

- Experience in financial accounting within a complex or large organisation
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and financial processes
- Confidence using financial systems and analysing data to support outcomes
- Ability to manage priorities, communicate clearly, and build trusted relationships
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have a relevant tertiary qualification or professional membership in accounting, and/or experience working in a public sector or healthcare setting.
