Infectious Diseases Consultant/Microbiologist

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value from $260,855 (L18) up to $321,438 (L27) comprising salary rates between $106.91 (L18) and $135.55 p.h. (L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.

As an Infectious Diseases Consultant/Microbiologist, you'll play a key role in improving health outcomes for patients across the region. From delivering expert clinical advice to guiding safe, evidence-based care, you'll work with passionate professionals who are committed to better patient experiences and stronger health services.

• Providing specialist expertise that supports timely diagnosis, treatment and improved outcomes for patients.
• Leading and influencing programs that strengthen infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship and quality use of medicines.
• Partnering with clinicians, laboratory teams and healthcare leaders to drive safe, high-quality and coordinated care.
• Supporting education, mentorship, research and service improvements that build capability across the workforce.

• Specialist qualifications and eligibility for registration in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology/Pathology in Australia.
• Demonstrated expertise in infectious diseases management, including complex and high-risk patient care.
• Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary environments.
• Commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement, education and research.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience leading infection prevention/control or antimicrobial stewardship.
