Enterprise Architect
Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with clinical leads and end users across Metro North Health to deliver the Digital Metro North Strategy 2018-32. The strategy aims to ultimately deliver an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North by 2032. Over the coming years, significant capital works are being undertaken, including hospital construction and refurbishment and the implementation of the ieMR Advanced solution across all Metro North facilities. Achieving the aims of the strategy requires a dedicated team with the knowledge, determination, and skills to deliver quality results.

- Evidence of leadership in Enterprise Architecture development and its pragmatic application within a complex, regulated environment.
- Proven experience in creating architectural strategies, mandated principles (standards) and roadmaps that meet the strategic requirements.
- Demonstrated ability in ensuring compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions, setting strategies, policies, standards and practices.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director Governance and Strategic Initiatives, this role will be responsible to create, maintain and communicate the current and target state business, technology and application architecture and standards that guide ongoing improvements to digital services and drive conformity and improved consolidation, sustainability, integration and supportability for Metro North Health. You will also lead the building of a knowledge base of digital standards for enterprise solutions (products, systems and infrastructure) and their implementation requirements which support consumer and staff experience, data and analytics, interoperability and integration, clinical and business information systems, core healthcare technology and facility and building system needs.
- This role is full time with the standard hours of operation being 8:00am – 4:06pm, Monday to Friday.
- Flexible working arrangements such as variable working hours, working from home and flex accrual may be supported.
Key knowledge and experience
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Develop comprehensive digital standards, strategies and roadmaps which support the implementation of agreed solutions across Metro North Health, ensuring alignment with evolving clinical practice and future built infrastructure and facility designs and requirements.
- Create, maintain and communicate the current and target state business, technology and application architecture and standards that guide ongoing improvements to digital services and drive conformity and improved consolidation, sustainability, integration and supportability for Metro North Health.
- Provide architecture assurance services, ensuring technology solutions are reviewed against enterprise architecture principles, are strategically aligned and comply with Queensland Health and Metro North Health technology architecture directives, policies, frameworks, strategies and standards.
- Participate in annual asset management and planning processes including the preparation of the Metro North Health Strategic Asset Management Plan in conjunction with Strategic Assets and Infrastructure and promote asset management requirements to projects.
- Provide specialist expert advice in the assessment of new and emerging digital solutions, technologies, infrastructure, products, methods and techniques to drive digital change initiatives to achieve agreed business outcomes and to inform more efficient operation of ICT across Metro North.
