Project Director
12 Month opportunity for an experienced Project Director to lead and oversee the delivery of large scale, complex Information Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects within an exciting, newly formed program.
About this role
The role:
Reporting to the Program Director (Digital Lead), the Project Director is responsible for the delivery of large scale, complex and high-risk IM/ICT projects within the eHealth Digital Capital Program.
You will provide customer centric delivery, ensuring project outcomes are achieved and enterprise solutions are delivered that are responsive to customer needs. You will provide expert advice and strategic input into the development of project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with Queensland Health policies, strategies, and Architecture.
Are you right for this role?
This role requires extensive experience in leading large scale, complex and high-risk IM/ICT projects throughout the project lifecycle, achieving successful outcomes which will enable enhanced health service delivery for Queenslanders. You will have high level knowledge and application of appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), which is essential for your success in this role.
Your well-developed negotiation and communication skills will enable you to effectively negotiate and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders across Queensland Health. You will also be experienced in putting together strategies, frameworks, plans to enable informed decision making on project issues.
You will have a proven ability to lead, manage and mentor multiple multi-disciplinary project teams, driving outputs against agreed budget and project plans.
This role will require experience in delivering large scale infrastructure programs and an ability to work in a team environment and develop long effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The following experience will be highly regarded:
