Outstanding opportunity for a seasoned Program Director to lead and oversee the delivery of large scale, complex business integration program.
About this role
We are looking for a talented Program Director to lead the transition of ICT services for several Queensland Government Agencies into and out of Queensland Health.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead a team of project management specialists to manage the ICT Transition and digital integration of a large state government agencies moving into Queensland Health or moving out of Queensland Health.
- Working and negotiating with senior business stakeholders to finalise complex business - digital requirements that support the development of an agreed plan and outcomes that ensure the successful transition of ICT Services, digital integration and ongoing operation of large Queensland Government agencies moving into and out of Queensland Health.
- Oversee the successful delivery of a complex and high-risk business integration project to ensure business outcomes are achieved and enterprise solutions are delivered within agreed deadlines.
- Ensure project management capability is maintained within the Division.
- Provide expert advice and strategic input into the development of project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Ensure the program and projects are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and Queensland Health's program and project management approaches and methodologies.
- Ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the ICT transition.
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting of program and project related trends and performance against project plans and budgets.
- Developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations, and information papers for stakeholders

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate excellence in program-project management with the proven ability to manage teams effectively to achieve successful program-project outcomes.
To manage the successful transition, integration and ongoing operation of ICT Services for government agencies this role will be required to negotiate and agree engagements with senior stakeholders to transition ICT Infrastructure and applications (including application integrations), managing the effective transition of ICT services while ensuring patient care is not disrupted. Demonstrated experience in Business Integration, Digital Integration and ICT Infrastructure will be highly regarded.
You will be experienced managing conflicting priorities across various stakeholders whilst delivering and tracking to agreed budgets and project plans. You will also be experienced in putting together strategies, frameworks, plans to enable informed decision making on project issues.
High Level knowledge and application of program and project management methodologies (Prince 2) is essential for your success in this role.
