The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist - Senior (Persistent Pain) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver evidence based psychological assessment and intervention within an interdisciplinary team
- Provide a high level of clinical expertise in the area of Pain Management and actively contribute to the professional development and education of Nursing, Medical, and Allied Health staff
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical service delivery, procedures and workplace guidelines
- Work collaboratively and effectively within an interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary team and with clients to facilitate optimal outcomes.
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Psychology
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (12 months, with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $128 169 - $137 918 per annum
About Us
The Interdisciplinary Persistent Pain Centre (IPPC) offers a broad approach with up to date information and advice to assist people to manage their persistent pain. The team focuses on addressing the impact that pain has on peoples' lives, rather than the cause of their pain. The IPPC will work with patients, their GP, and other services in the community to help them develop the skills required to better understand and self manage their pain long term.
