Psychologist - Senior (Placement Support)
Provide high level evidence based psychology services and behaviour support to complex patients requiring placement support across both Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals, as part of the Psychology Service. This position will work predominately within the Placement Support Team and other acute wards across the hospital campuses as required, within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework, informed by clinical supervision, education and research. This position may opt-in to participate in a rotational weekend roster.

An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist - Senior (Placement Support) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver high level psychological assessment, formulation, brief intervention and positive behaviour support planning
- Apply high level knowledge of cognitive, developmental, neurological and psychiatric conditions for patients to facilitate timely discharge or prevent unnecessary admissions
- Undertake clinical governance activities related to psychology within the multidisciplinary team
- Initiate and contribute to formal clinical research activities that influence standards of clinical practice and delivery of services
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Psychology
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (38 hrs p.f.).
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour
About Us
The Psychology Service is located within Allied Health and Rehabilitation Services and provides both inpatient and outpatient services to patients presenting to hospital with physical health and comorbid psychological conditions. The Psychology team work within a multidisciplinary framework, providing holistic, person-centred care across the patient's hospital and discharge journey.
The Placement Support Team (PST) is a multidisciplinary team which provides placement and advisory services within the health service for those who require assistance with emergent accommodation solutions or transition to residential care or supported accommodation
