Psychologist - Senior (Acute)

About this role
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist – Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver high level clinical services in accordance with professional standards
- Work collaboratively with clinicians, multi-disciplinary staff, service providers and non-government organisations
- Deliver high level specialised clinical advice and reports and work collaboratively with team members
- Contribute to the development of clinical practice procedures and protocols
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Psychology
- AHPRA Registration
- A post graduate degree, e.g., Masters of Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Board Approved Supervisor status, are highly desirable
- Developed knowledge and experience working as a senior psychologist in acute mental health
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent Part-time (60.8 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

Mental Health and Specialist Services comprises acute mental health care units located at Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital campus. Mental Health teams provide world class, compassionate, person centred mental healthcare that fosters recovery of consumers, families and carers for those consumers with complex mental health and addiction issues.
You will play a pivotal role in leading clinical excellence, mentoring staff, and shaping service delivery as part of the senior leadership team. With your strong clinical skills, expertise in therapy, and extensive experience in complex mental health case formulation and care, you will provide strong clinical leadership supporting both consumers and colleagues. As a leader in the clinical space, you will drive best-practice interventions, ensuring consumers receive high-quality psychological care to support their recovery and transition from hospital to the community. Your role will be flexible moving across clinical areas.
