About SMHRU
The new SMHRU unit offers mental health rehabilitation services for individuals needing extended inpatient care in a secure environment. Our focus is on autonomy, self-determination, and working collaboratively towards independent living. All consumers are over 18 years of age.

About Your New Role
Are you looking for a role with real meaning and purpose? Gold Coast Health have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Facilitator to join our newly developed Secure Mental Health Unit and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Nurse Educators and CNCs to deliver tailored education, training and management to SMHRU nursing staff
- Deliver orientation content in line with the orientation schedule and contribute recommendations to keep materials contemporary and relevant
- Use Clinical Skills Assessment Tools (CSATs) to assess registered nurses and provide timely, constructive feedback to support their development
- Monitor safe clinical practice and risk through daily rounding to ensure high standards of care and patient safety
Qualifications
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- NMBA Registration
- Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or willing to work towards it)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
- A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $111 198 - $119 072 per annum
