About Your New Role

Are you looking for a role with real meaning and purpose? Gold Coast Health have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Facilitator to join our newly developed Secure Mental Health Unit and make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Nurse Educators and CNCs to deliver tailored education, training and management to SMHRU nursing staff
• Deliver orientation content in line with the orientation schedule and contribute recommendations to keep materials contemporary and relevant
• Use Clinical Skills Assessment Tools (CSATs) to assess registered nurses and provide timely, constructive feedback to support their development
• Monitor safe clinical practice and risk through daily rounding to ensure high standards of care and patient safety

Qualifications

To be successful in this position you will require:

• A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• NMBA Registration
• Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or willing to work towards it)
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
• A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable

Salary

• Permanent full time
• Base salary ranging from $111 198 - $119 072 per annum
