Speech Pathologist - Senior

The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Speech Pathologists – Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Independently deliver high level paediatric speech pathology clinical services
• Work cooperatively and effectively within departmental and multidisciplinary teams
• Actively contribute to local clinical education programs for speech pathology
• Provide a high level of evidence based speech pathology for both routine and complex cases

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Tertiary degree in Speech Pathology
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Driver Licence
• Blue Card/Working with children check (GCH will cover cost)
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent part time and temporary full time (one permanent part time position, 30.4 hrs p.f. and one temporary full time position up to 12 months with possibility of extension)
• Base salary ranging from $4 912.70 - $5 286.40 per fortnight or $64.64 - $69.56 per hour

The Child Development Service (CDS) is a multidisciplinary team that sits within Community Child Health under the Division of Women, Newborn and Children's Health at the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. CDS currently operates from four Community Child Health Centres: Southport Health Precinct (main centre), Palm Beach, Helensvale and Upper Coomera.
