Dental Assistant
Provide high-quality clinical dental assistance and instrument reprocessing to support dental professionals in treating and preventing dental diseases as part of the dental team.
About this role
The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Dental Assistants to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Prepare equipment, instruments and materials utilised in a variety of dental procedures
- Assist in the prevention, identification and management of medical emergencies
- Assist in the administrative functions
- Ensure the use of infection control protocols and relevant Standards for cleaning
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Certificate III in Sterislisation and/or Dental Assisting or relevant higher current qualification
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Working with children check
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time, Permanent part time, Temporary full time, Temporary part time (several positions, hrs negotiable, temporary up to 6 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $68 471 - $71 983 per annum, $2 624.50 – $2 759.10 per fortnight, $34.53 – $36.30 per hour
