Dental Assistant

The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Dental Assistants to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Prepare equipment, instruments and materials utilised in a variety of dental procedures
• Assist in the prevention, identification and management of medical emergencies
• Assist in the administrative functions
• Ensure the use of infection control protocols and relevant Standards for cleaning

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Certificate III in Sterislisation and/or Dental Assisting or relevant higher current qualification
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Driver Licence
• Working with children check
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent full time, Permanent part time, Temporary full time, Temporary part time (several positions, hrs negotiable, temporary up to 6 months with the possibility of extension)
• Base salary ranging from $68 471 - $71 983 per annum, $2 624.50 – $2 759.10 per fortnight, $34.53 – $36.30 per hour
