About the role:
Make a real difference, one smile at a time 😄 This role is all about delivering high-quality oral health care within your scope as an Oral Health or Dental Therapist, while also championing good oral health across our Central Queensland communities.
You'll spend most of your time caring for kids and teens, working across fixed clinics and mobile dental vans to bring dental care straight to schools and local communities—because access should be easy, not a mission. From check-ups to prevention, you'll help set young patients up for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
Depending on your qualifications and service needs, you may also get the chance to support adult clinics, adding even more variety to your role.
About you:
- Possession of a Certificate in Dental Therapy (or equivalent) and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Dental therapist.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Oral Health (or equivalent) and registration within the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Oral Health Therapist.
- Radiation Use Licence issued under the Radiation Safety Act 1999, with an appropriate authority is mandatory.
- Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy students in their final year of study are also eligible to apply.
- New graduates will have the opportunity to apply for entry into the Early Career Dental Practitioner Program (ECDPP), this program will provide opportunities in consolidating clinical skills, rotations in specialist clinics, mentoring, peer networking, regular case discussions, communication and wellbeing workshops, and career planning for the public sector.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $81,110 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
