Your opportunity:
- The Staff Specialist (Geriatrician) position has been established to provide senior clinical leadership and specialist geriatric medicine services at the Bundaberg Hospital. The role is pivotal in leading contemporary models of care for frail older persons across acute, subacute, ambulatory, community and virtual settings.
- The position has a primary focus on leadership and service development in Rapid Access Frailty Services, virtual geriatric care, cognitive and behavioural services (including dementia and BPSD), orthogeriatric care, and rehabilitation services. The role also provides consultant oversight of the Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit (GEM).
