Pharmacist Senior - Oncology

About this role
About the Team
CHQ Pharmacy is dedicated to providing and supporting high quality clinical and medication management services to the children and young people of CHQ. The pharmacy service has a staff of approximately 110, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, administrative staff and support staff. The pharmacy team provides services to inpatients, outpatients, hospital in the home, cancer care services, poisons information, aseptic compounding, clinical trials along with safety, quality and governance. The Queensland Poisons Information Service is part of CHQ Pharmacy and provides 24 hour a day emergency service in cases of poisoning.
About the Role
The position of Pharmacist – Senior (Oncology) will:
- Deliver high level clinical pharmacy services across the continuum of care to children and their families.
- Provide day to day clinical supervision and support to less experienced pharmacy practitioners in high acuity and other complex oncology treatment areas (including organisation of chemotherapy treatment and inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical care).
- Actively participate in teaching and training, service development and improvement, supervision and departmental planning.
