Clinical Nurse Research
The Clinical Research Nurse plays a pivotal role within the Endocrine and Diabetes Research Unit, providing expert coordination and delivery of clinical research studies across a range of endocrine conditions. The role includes participant screening, recruitment, education, and ongoing support, as well as the safe conduct of study visits in accordance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice, and ethical requirements. Working closely with investigators, clinical teams, and external sponsors, the Clinical Research Nurse ensures research activities are seamlessly integrated into routine clinical care while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, data quality, and participant experience.

About the Team
The Endocrine and Diabetes Research Unit is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving outcomes for people living with endocrine conditions through high-quality clinical research. The unit supports a broad portfolio of investigator-led and collaborative studies across diabetes, growth and puberty disorders, thyroid disease, bone disorders and other endocrine conditions. Working closely with clinical services, the team integrates research into routine care, ensuring studies are patient-centred, ethically conducted, and aligned with best practice. The unit plays a key role in advancing evidence-based care, supporting staff and consumer engagement, and contributing to local, national, and international research initiatives.
About the Role
You'll fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 Band 1 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
