Project Officer

Based in Brisbane CBD, you will support business operations, funding activities and data analysis that contribute to improving health service delivery across Queensland’s public health system.
About this role
What you'll do
In this role you will coordinate business and administrative functions that support the operations of the Healthcare Purchasing and Funding Branch. You will analyse data and contribute to funding and costing activities to support informed decision making. You will prepare correspondence, reports and briefing materials for senior leaders. You will support the delivery of projects and initiatives, and work with stakeholders to improve systems, processes and service outcomes across the branch.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of healthcare purchasing and funding policies and procedures and relevant information systems and to apply this in a large complex public sector service delivery organisation.
- Proven ability to deliver quality data analysis utilising SQL and PowerBI.
- Proven ability to process and manage high level business administration tasks and provide expert advice to internal stakeholders regarding the same.
- Problem-solving skills to facilitate continuous improvement in work processes in collaboration with a team, ensuring effective performance and outcomes for the Branch.
- Knowledge or skills (or the ability to acquire these) web design and publishing using Squiz.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to consult and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a range of activities and projects with conflicting timeframes and deadlines.
