Join our dedicated team supporting healthcare delivery at Mount Isa Hospital. We are building a 12 month casual talent pool for Operational Services roles across Cleaning, Laundry, Food Services, Ward Support and Kiosk assistance. Play a vital role in patient safety, service quality and culturally responsive care within a supportive team environment.

About the role
These casual roles within Operational Services are essential to the safe and effective running of our health facility. You may work across Cleaning, Laundry, Food Services, Ward Support and Kiosk Services. Every shift contributes directly to patient wellbeing, infection control, and high quality healthcare delivery. You'll be part of a team committed to clinical governance, quality improvement, workplace safety, and culturally responsive care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally diverse communities.
- Deliver high quality cleaning, laundry, catering, ward support or kiosk services in line with Queensland Health standards.
- Support patient safety and infection control by following policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Assist healthcare professionals by providing non-clinical patient support, including safe patient transport from one area to another.
- Contribute to a respectful, inclusive and culturally safe healthcare environment.

Requirements
- There are no mandatory qualifications required for this position.
- The position may require successful applicants to undertake continuous shift work and to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
- Physical ability to carry out frequent and repetitive lifting, manual handling of goods and patients.
- Adhere to Uniform Dress code for the Health Service.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
