About this role
Role details
The Department of Child and Adolescent Health at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Paediatrician to join their team on a Permanent Full-Time basis (80 hrs p.f.).

Your opportunity
- Provision of high-quality clinical services for Mackay HHS as part of the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) at Mackay Base Hospital and Mackay Community Health.
- Educate Paediatric Trainees rotating from Children's Hospital Queensland and medical staff comprising PHO/SHO/Intern medical officers, Allied Health staff, nursing staff and medical students.
- Work in a family-centred environment with seven other consultants championing excellence in interdisciplinary evidence-based care for children and adolescents with opportunity for research/academic appointment with James Cook University for the right candidate.
- Contribute to patient safety, audit, research, and service planning activities.
- This is a great role for newly minted or experienced FRACP.
- Opportunity for further extending clinical services to local Private health facilities.
About the Department
The Child and Adolescent Health Unit consists of 12 funded beds and a Special Care Nursery with 8 funded beds (Clinical Service Capability Framework Level 4).
