Clinical Director

Temporary opportunity to provide expert leadership across urgent care, rural acute services, ward based care and custodial health. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of Rural Generalists, General Practitioners and other specialists, contributing to service growth, workforce sustainability and clinical excellence.

About the role
Working closely with medical, nursing and operational leaders, the Clinical Director drives clinical governance, quality improvement, education and service innovation. This role also plays a key part in mentoring medical staff, strengthening training pathways and fostering collaborative partnerships within Metro North Health and across the broader healthcare system.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Promote the further development of medical teaching and training accreditation within Kilcoy Hospital, Woodford Corrections Health Service and Minor Injuries and Illness Centres within Caboolture and Bribie Island Satellite HCs, including collaboration with other relevant areas within CKW, Metro North Health and QH and/or external agencies.
- Fulfil the accountabilities and responsibilities of this role in accordance with Metro North's purpose and objectives as outlines below.
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
- Ensure appropriate investigation, management and disposition for patients under your care.
- Undertake clinical procedures necessary for the care of your patients within the scope of experience and training.
