Your new role:
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering high-level, complex procurement initiatives that support critical health services and infrastructure outcomes. You will:
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, evaluation, contract negotiation, and ongoing contract management
- Drive value outcomes and cost optimisation through strategic sourcing and effective supplier engagement
- Partner with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop specifications, manage tenders, and deliver procurement solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement by implementing best-practice procurement tools, frameworks, and processes
About you:
You are a commercially astute procurement professional who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about delivering value through strong stakeholder engagement and strategic sourcing. You have:
- Proven experience managing procurement and contract activities within a large or complex organisation
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and deliver outcomes across diverse groups
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Sound knowledge of procurement governance, probity, and modern sourcing practices, with a focus on continuous improvement

About the Commercial, Procurement and Supply Chain
The Procurement and Supply Unit are driven to deliver efficient, integrated and innovative procurement, contract and supply solutions that meet our customer's requirements, achieve best value for public money, and comply with Metro South Health's legislative and policy framework.
We facilitate procurement across Metro South Health and provide support and guidance that enables and encourages business units, services and facilities to make effective procurement decisions that meet their objectives within our governance parameters. In doing so, we enable clinicians and staff to focus on providing the highest standard of care, secure in the knowledge that procurement, supply and contract management are being effectively managed.
