Advance Neonatal Patient Journeys in a Temporary Part-Time Leadership Role
Join Logan Hospital, Metro South Health, as a Temporary Part-Time (30.4 hours per fortnight) Nurse Navigator – Neonatal Services, leading coordinated, patient-centred care for newborns and families while driving service excellence across the continuum of care.
About this role
Your new role:
As the Nurse Navigator – Neonatal Services, you will play a key leadership role in improving outcomes for babies and families by:
- Coordinating complex neonatal care across inpatient, outreach and discharge services
- Supporting safe, seamless patient journeys between hospital, community and tertiary providers
- Providing advanced clinical leadership and expert neonatal nursing practice
- Building partnerships with families, caregivers and multidisciplinary teams
- Driving quality improvement, innovation and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Mentoring staff and contributing to education, workforce development and research
- Enhancing service efficiency, reducing fragmentation and improving patient experiences
About you:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate neonatal nursing professional with:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA / NMBA
- Advanced neonatal nursing knowledge and contemporary clinical expertise
- Strong care coordination and case management experience
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously and make high-level clinical decisions
- Experience leading quality improvement, service redesign or research initiatives
- A passion for family-centred care and improving neonatal outcomes
- Postgraduate qualifications (or current study) in a relevant field highly regarded

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
