Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse in Ward 2Q, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and coordinate care for patients with complex, long-stay needs. Working both autonomously and collaboratively, you'll be instrumental in improving patient outcomes and facilitating safe discharge planning.
- Lead and coordinate comprehensive, person-centred care for patients with complex and prolonged admissions
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and supervision to nursing staff and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Drive discharge planning by identifying and addressing barriers in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Contribute to quality improvement, education, research, and service development initiatives
About you:
You are an experienced and confident Clinical Nurse with strong leadership capability and a passion for complex care. You thrive in challenging environments and are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred outcomes. You have:
- Advanced clinical knowledge in sub-acute, geriatric, or complex care nursing
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
