About this role
Your new role:
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will support Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in delivering high-quality patient care. Working under supervision, you'll play a key role in assisting with clinical activities, patient support, and day-to-day operations.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with individual and group therapy programs
- Support patient care including transport and manual handling
- Prepare and manage clinical equipment and therapy resources
- Provide basic education to patients and carers
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
About you:
You are a motivated and compassionate team player who enjoys working in a hands-on healthcare environment and supporting positive patient outcomes.
You will bring:
- Ability to deliver delegated patient interventions safely and effectively
- Strong communication skills with patients, carers, and team members
- Understanding of scope of practice and when to seek guidance

The Division of Allied Health and Rehabilitation provides high quality, strong person-centred, evidence based, multi-disciplinary clinical, education and research services across the continuum of patient care. The Division also has the key function of leading First Nations Health and Outpatient Reform and Governance.
Allied Health modalities support all services across the hospital and wider community. These services aim to improve patient outcomes focusing on supporting self-management and independence, improving functional outcomes and rehabilitation and reducing admissions and length of stay.
