Senior Psychologist (Complex Inpatients)

About this role
Your new role:
In this senior role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychology services to hospital patients with complex presentations within Metro South Health (MSH) hospitals This role is based primarily at Redland Hospital, which has recently undergone significant expansion, including the opening of a new inpatient building housing Amity Ward and a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit (ICU), bringing enhanced services and opportunities for multidisciplinary care within a modern clinical environment. You will:
- Provide specialised psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for complex medical inpatients and specialist outpatients, including geriatrics, ICU, dialysis and medical clinics
- Work autonomously within an interprofessional team, offering high-level clinical advice and contributing to diagnosis, care planning and patient flow
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, research and clinical education initiatives
About you:
You are an experienced and motivated psychologist who thrives in complex health environments and is committed to compassionate, patient-centred care. You will bring:
- Demonstrated high-level expertise delivering psychology services in complex clinical settings, with strong assessment, formulation and intervention skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective work within multidisciplinary teams and with patients, families and carers
- Proven ability to manage and prioritise a dynamic clinical workload with autonomy, sound judgement and a focus on safe, effective outcomes
- Experience or demonstrated capability in supervision, leadership and service.

Redland Psychology Department:
The Redland Psychology Department is based at Redland Hospital and delivers clinical services across all Redlands facilities including Redland Bay Satellite Health Centre. Redlands Psychology is an expanding and innovative specialist service within the hospital and community service centres with a diverse skill mix of Psychologists including paediatric diabetes; acute medical and complex inpatients; neuropsychology, kidney dialysis, physiotherapy outpatients, specialist medical clinics.
