Tradesperson - Electrician

Your new Role:

As an Electrician, you will perform maintenance, testing and repairs on electrical infrastructure across Metro South Health sites. Working independently and within a skilled trades team, you will manage priorities, undertake HV/LV switching and isolations, support plant maintenance, and ensure all works meet safety, legislative and quality standards while delivering responsive, client-focused service.

About You:

You are a skilled and safety-focused Electrician with experience in maintaining complex facilities, capable of delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will have: 

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance, testing & compliance
• Strong knowledge of WHS, electrical legislation & standards
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks & liaise effectively
• Experience in hospital or large-scale facility maintenance environments
• Confident using CMMS systems and digital maintenance platforms (e.g. S/4HANA)

Metro South Maintenance Services delivers planned and reactive maintenance across all Metro South Health facilities, ensuring safe, reliable and compliant infrastructure. Operating under a centralised Building, Engineering & Maintenance model, the service drives efficiency, continuous improvement and a multi-skilled workforce, with trades staff working flexibly across sites to meet service needs.
