About this role
Your new role:
This senior leadership role is responsible for the operational and strategic delivery of the national Quality Use of Community Palliative Care Medicines (QUM) project. Reporting to the Director, Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaborative, you will lead a complex national program focused on advocacy, education, research, communication and stakeholder engagement to improve community-based palliative care practices across Australia.
You will work collaboratively with Commonwealth, State and Territory government departments, clinical experts, researchers and community stakeholders to drive meaningful outcomes and ensure successful delivery of program objectives and funding requirements.
You will,
- Lead the strategic implementation and delivery of the national QUM work plan across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage governance, project reporting, budgets and operational performance to ensure successful program outcomes.
- Build and influence strong partnerships with government, healthcare and community stakeholders nationally.
About you:
You are a strategic and collaborative leader with extensive experience delivering complex healthcare programs and influencing outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups. You bring strong project governance capability, excellent communication skills and a passion for improving equitable community palliative care outcomes.
You will have,
- Proven experience leading large-scale projects or programs within healthcare, public health or related sectors.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills across government, clinical and community environments.
- Demonstrated capability in project management, financial oversight, risk management and strategic planning.

Princess Alexandra Hospital:
The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
