About this role
Your new role:
As the Nursing Director within the Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery Division, you will provide strategic, operational and professional leadership to advance nursing excellence, governance and contemporary models of care across Metro South Health. Working closely with the Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery leadership team, you will drive key quality, workforce and improvement initiatives that support safe, high-quality and person-centred healthcare delivery. Within this role you will:
- Lead strategic nursing and midwifery initiatives that strengthen clinical and corporate governance, workforce capability and service excellence across Metro South Health.
- Provide expert advice and leadership in policy development, service improvement, data analysis and performance monitoring to support improved patient and organisational outcomes.
- Drive quality improvement, evidence-based practice and nursing excellence programs, including oversight of frameworks such as Magnet® Recognition and/or Pathway to Excellence®.
- Lead and influence complex projects, change initiatives and cross-service collaboration aligned to Metro South Health strategic priorities and statewide nursing and midwifery directions.
About you:
You are an influential and contemporary nursing leader with extensive experience driving strategic improvement, governance and professional excellence within complex healthcare environments. You bring exceptional leadership capability, strong stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes for patients, staff and the broader health service. In addition, you have:
- Experience leading nursing governance, quality and service improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead change, influence stakeholders and deliver strategic outcomes.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in workforce capability, professional standards and evidence-based practice.
