Join Metro South Health as a Temporary Part-Time Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, delivering person-centred care across Logan Hospital and associated facilities.
About this role
Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse within the Emergency Department, you will deliver safe, compassionate and evidence-based care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes by:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care across a diverse Emergency Department environment
- Undertaking comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care
- Supporting patients and families through effective communication, education and advocacy
- Demonstrating clinical judgement, critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
- Working collaboratively with nursing, medical and allied health teams to achieve best practice outcomes
- Participating in quality improvement, education and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Contributing positively to team culture and supporting a safe and inclusive care environment
- Working across Logan Hospital, Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre and Meadowbrook Health Centre as required
About you:
You are a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who thrives in a dynamic clinical environment and is committed to delivering high-quality emergency care with:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse
- A Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent tertiary qualification)
- Minimum 12 months' experience in an acute hospital setting
- Previous Emergency Department nursing experience highly regarded
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and time management skills
- A commitment to person-centred care and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative team approach
- The ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a changing clinical environment
- Ongoing commitment to professional development and lifelong learning

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
