About this role
Your new role:
As the Clinical Midwife Consultant (Informatics), you will provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist expertise to support safe, evidence-based and women-centred maternity care across Logan Hospital's Women's and Children's Service Line by:
- Leading and supporting ieMR and Perinatal Data Collection initiatives across maternity services
- Driving clinical redesign, workflow improvement and digital innovation projects
- Collaborating with Midwifery Unit Managers, Educators and multidisciplinary teams to improve service delivery and patient outcomes
- Supporting the development and implementation of evidence-based policies, procedures and models of care
- Providing expert clinical consultation, mentoring and leadership to midwifery teams
- Promoting quality improvement, clinical governance and culturally safe care practices
- Supporting education, research and workforce capability development within the service
About you:
You are a passionate and experienced midwifery leader with strong clinical informatics capability and a commitment to delivering high-quality women-centred care with:
- Registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and leadership within maternity services
- Experience supporting or leading ieMR, digital health or clinical informatics initiatives
- Strong understanding of evidence-based midwifery practice, clinical governance and quality improvement frameworks
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
- The ability to lead change, influence practice improvement and support multidisciplinary teams
- A commitment to culturally safe, compassionate and person-centred care
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications or current enrolment in postgraduate studies (highly regarded)

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
