About this role
Your new role:
This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making and deliver meaningful improvements in patient safety across multiple healthcare settings. You will:
- Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of organisation-wide governance frameworks, policies and systems that support reliable closure of the diagnostic loop.
- Provide expert clinical governance leadership and advice on diagnostic safety, quality improvement, risk management and patient safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with executive leaders, Digital Health and Informatics, clinical directorates and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen accountability and governance processes.
- Analyse performance data, risk information and evidence to identify improvement opportunities and deliver sustainable organisational change
About you:
You are an experienced Allied Health professional with a strong background in clinical governance, healthcare quality and strategic leadership. You will bring:
- A recognised Allied Health qualification and eligibility for registration or membership with the relevant professional body.
- Demonstrated experience leading clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement or service redesign initiatives within complex healthcare environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to provide authoritative advice and build effective partnerships across all levels of an organisation.
- Exceptional analytical, project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate evidence, policy and data into practical system-wide improvements.

Clinical Governance Risk and Legal Profile
The Metro South Clinical Governance, Risk and Legal division works collaboratively with executives, senior managers, clinical/non-clinical staff and consumers to ensure that Metro South Health has an effective, coordinated organisational wide approach to quality improvement, clinical effectiveness, healthcare standard, patient safety, patient experience and consumer liaison services. This ensures Metro South Health's approach to clinical governance remains contemporary, customer focused and based on the best available evidence.
