Your new role:
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide advanced clinical and operational leadership across the Respiratory Outpatients Department and Metro South Clinical Tuberculosis Service. You will lead a skilled nursing workforce, oversee service delivery, and drive quality, safety and performance outcomes while ensuring exceptional patient-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advanced nursing leadership and clinical governance
- Managing workforce planning, staffing, rostering and performance
- Overseeing human, financial and material resources for the service
- Driving quality improvement, service development and risk management initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, policies and legislation
- Leading change and implementing innovative models of care

You are a confident and experienced nursing leader who thrives in a complex healthcare environment. You bring a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, developing high-performing teams and driving service excellence through collaboration, innovation and strong operational management.
You will bring:
- Significant leadership experience within nursing or healthcare services
- Advanced knowledge of clinical governance, quality and safety frameworks
- Strong people leadership, coaching and team development skills
- Experience managing budgets, resources and workforce planning
- Expertise in rostering, HR processes and performance management
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills

PAH Respiratory Department provides a coordinated, holistic tertiary (level 6) inpatient and outpatient services for patients affected with respiratory illnesses utilising a multidisciplinary approach while maintaining a safe environment, thus resulting in optimal patient outcomes and a cost-efficient service.
