Physiotherapist Advanced FASST SCI

Your new role:

As an Advanced Physiotherapist you'll play a key role in delivering specialised, evidence-based care for patients with complex spinal conditions. Working with a high level of clinical autonomy, you'll lead best practice, support multidisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to the ongoing development of physiotherapy services that improve patient outcomes.

In this role you will:

• Deliver advanced physiotherapy assessment, treatment and consultancy services to patients with complex spinal rehabilitation needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and supervision to physiotherapists, allied health assistants and students.
• Drive innovation by developing clinical protocols, leading quality improvement initiatives and contributing to research and evidence-based practice.

About you:

You're an experienced Physiotherapist who combines advanced clinical expertise with a passion for leadership, education and improving patient care. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy supporting others while driving positive change across specialist services.

You will bring:

• Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in physiotherapy, ideally within spinal rehabilitation or other complex neurological services.
• Proven leadership, communication and mentoring skills with the ability to develop and support clinicians and students.
• A commitment to evidence-based practice, service improvement, research and innovation.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.

We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.

We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
