About your role
As a Staff Specialist in Anaesthetics, you will provide expert clinical care and leadership across a range of surgical specialties at Redland Hospital. You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective and compassionate patient care.
Your responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality anaesthetic services across diverse clinical areas.
- Supervising and mentoring registrars, junior doctors and medical staff.
- Supporting education, training and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participating in the on-call roster and extended hours as needed.
- Contributing to clinical governance, safety, and service development.
About you
You are a motivated and collaborative Anaesthetist with a passion for clinical excellence and education.
Your skills and experience include:
- Specialist registration (FANZCA or equivalent) with AHPRA.
- Proven experience providing anaesthesia across a broad range of surgical specialties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor and support clinical staff.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement.
- Ability to contribute to a positive, safe, and respectful workplace culture.
