About this role
Seeking expressions of interest for future opportunities over the next 6 months. As part of the talent pool, you may be offered casual or temporary full time or part time opportunities that become available based on the order of merit. A pool will generally continue for a 6 month period. If you are placed in the talent pool you may be offered a position within the relevant time period, however your appointment to a position is not guaranteed.
Your new role:
The Registered Nurse (Mental Health Inpatient Units) delivers safe, compassionate, recovery-focused care as part of the Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services team, working collaboratively to achieve high-quality, person-centred outcomes.
- Provide direct, person-centred clinical care through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation aligned with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating increasing clinical autonomy, accountability, and professional judgement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through quality, safety, risk management, and evidence-based practice initiatives across the service.
About you:
You are a compassionate, motivated Registered Nurse who demonstrates a commitment to person-centred care, recovery-oriented practice, and positive patient outcomes within a mental health inpatient environment.
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with demonstrated competence and experience in mental health and/or addiction nursing or the ability to develop these skills.
- Able to apply critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and effective communication to coordinate care in collaboration with consumers, families, and the interprofessional team.
- Committed to lifelong learning, research translation, and professional development to enhance clinical practice and service delivery.
