Clinical Measurements Scientist - Senior Cardiac

Permanent full-time and part-time opportunity to deliver advanced cardiac clinical measurements services to patients across The Prince Charles Hospital, Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals as part of a multidisciplinary cardiac sciences team, managing complex caseloads in accordance with contemporary clinical practice standards.

About the role
Permanent full-time and part-time opportunity to perform as an advanced practitioner in cardiac sciences, providing high-level, evidence-based cardiac clinical measurements services with a high degree of independence. The role involves leadership in complex clinical decision-making, clinical education, research contribution, service improvement activities, and professional mentoring within the Cardiac Sciences Unit across Metro North Hospital and Health Service.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above.
- Undertake high level scientific clinical measurements services (including after-hours emergency clinical on call and outreach clinic services) as part of a multidisciplinary team at The Prince Charles, Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals (Metro North Hospital and Health Service).
- Apply professional judgement to the complex caseloads in these clinical measurement specialties, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence to support the continuum of care in the Metro North Hospital and Health Service.
- Independently coordinate clinical education programs for pre-entry students and subordinate cardiac clinical measurements scientists by expanding, adapting or modifying clinical principles, procedures and techniques in the preparation of educational curricular.
